This year’s Tacoma Arts Conference features a lineup of insightful discussions, valuable classes, and useful seminars. Just a few highlights include an opportunity to have your portfolio reviewed by an arts professional, a chance to brush up your online art presence with a panel discussion titled “Online Engagement: A Beginner’s Guide,” plus a unique peek into the minds of those who disperse arts funding in “Behind Closed Doors: The Funding Panel” presented by several arts organization professionals including Spaceworks’ own Heather Joy.

“TAC/TAC is the Tacoma Arts Conference hosted by the Arts Leadership Lab Tacoma. Arts Leadership Lab celebrates Tacoma as a home for innovation and is pleased to present TAC/TAC as an opportunity to connect professionals and forward the growth of our creative economy. The conference serves working artists, creative entrepreneurs, and arts professionals who are or would like to make a living as a part of the cultural sector. This conference showcases local leaders, both established and emerging, in seminars, classes, and forums that will encourage dialogue and learning. Sessions and forums cover topics such as arts education, funding, online engagement, public art, creative small businesses, and arts careers. TAC/TAC evolved from the November Arts Symposium that the Tacoma Arts Commission formerly hosted. The Symposium brings in people from Tacoma/Pierce County, Olympia, Seattle, Port Townsend, Port Orchard, and Gig Harbor.”
