Spaceworks alumni Write@253 (Tacoma’s fantastic and free community writing center) in collaboration with the Hilltop Women’s Writing Collective is putting together The Hilltop LAZ: A Literary Art Zine that aims to bridge the gap between academic and underground writing communities by bringing them side by side in the same text. By making a broad sweep of the Tacoma community, The LAZ team hopes to to read submissions by storytellers and poets who enjoy submitting to community publications.
The Hilltop LAZ’s ultimate goal, however, is to print from writers who wouldn’t normally think to submit to a literary publisher.
