One of Spaceworks’ newest participants Yoshiko Yamamoto & Bruce Smith of The Arts & Crafts Press will be offering people a chance to help print a keepsake card on a small tabletop press for you to take home. Steamroller prints! For the sixth consecutive year, the Tacoma Arts Commission and Jessica Spring from Springtide Press will bring together original linoleum-cut designs created by various artists/groups in the community and smooosh them with a steamroller in front of your very eyes.The large 3′ x 3′ steamroller prints have made a bold and beautiful statement in the Woolworth windows in years past. You can expect to see them again on display in the Woolworth windows May 15 – Aug 21, 2014, curated by Jessica Spring. This year they have the big window on the corner of 11th & Broadway… expect a few surprises.
