Sound Movement Arts Center (SMAC), Tacoma’s newest—and only—dance, cheer and modeling studio, is celebrating its grand opening all week and fall registration is now open (see the fall class schedule)!

Stop by to “find what moves you,” meet their talented staff, try out some fun classes, check out their beautiful facility, and help them celebrate. Door buster prizes will be given out and one raffle per night will be drawn for the chance to win one month of free classes.

Grand opening hours:

  • Monday, Sept. 14, 3:45-8:15 pm
  • Tuesday, Sept. 15, 4-7 pm
  • Wednesday, Sept. 16, 4:15-8:15 pm
  • Thursday, Sept. 17, 9:30-11 am and 4:15-7:15 pm

Registration: During the grand opening week, in-person registration will be available or you can also register online. After this week, you will need to register online to attend classes.

Special deal: New students receive one week of unlimited classes for only $15!

What SMAC offers

SMAC is owned and operated by Giselle Lorenz Brock and Raven West, and offers classes for ages 2+ and ranging in style from Jazz, Ballet, Contemporary, Musical Theatre and Hip Hop Dance to Acro, Tumbling, Cheer and Modeling.

SMAC’s mission is to deliver high quality dance, cheer and performing arts to the community by providing a positive studio environment with educated and gifted instructors who focus both on technique and the individuality of each child. SMAC offers a nurturing yet challenging atmosphere that propels students to reach their potential as performing artists and individuals.
