The Downtown Tacoma Business Improvement Area (BIA) is seeking your input to gauge the value and need for their services. The organization is funded by property owners in the 84-block district spanning from South 7th Street to South 21st Street and ‘A’ Street West to Court ‘D’. They are responsible for cleaning up hundreds of tags and tons of debris, putting up flower baskets and decorations, and providing round the clock security including escorts for downtown workers.
The BIA serves Tacoma’s Downtown by providing safety and maintenance services to the district known as the hub for boutique retail shopping, bars and restaurants, theaters, museums, educational institutions, entertainment, business services, historic architecture, urban living and more. They help create a welcoming, clean presence for the residents and visitors to the city.
