A call to participate…
A new public artwork has popped up on one of the last remaining HAPPENINGS kiosks at the corner of 13th and Market in downtown Tacoma. The work invites you to visit www.ryanfeddersen.com/what-will-happen where you will find the following prompt:
“Please share a hope, aspiration, prediction or other words (500 character limit) that you would like to contribute as inspiration for a public artwork that will be installed on this kiosk. It can be based on something real, or something fictitious. To submit an image (3MB limit), please use the file upload…”
RETURN TO THE KIOSK AFTER APRIL 1ST, 2017 TO VIEW THE FINAL ARTWORK.
For a live interaction download the Free QR Code Reader App for Android or iPhone devices. Then go to the corner of 13th & Market Street to see it up close and scan it.
You do not need an app to participate, however. In fact, you can simply click on the graphic below or go to RYAN! Feddersen’s submission page.
DISCLAIMER: The artist will incorporate elements of submissions into the final artwork within the theme of a fictional bulletin board. Submissions will be viewed as inspirational source material and creative liberties will be taken to place submission text and imagery within the theme. The artist will attempt to reference as many submissions as time and space allow. Participants authorize the artist to edit and reproduce submitted content within the context of the HAPPENINGS public art project. Participants should either be the originators of content or should share only content that is designated creative commons or is eligible for fair-use. The artist and Spaceworks may use the content generated by the artist in response to the submissions for promotional and educational purposes.
