Tacoma Pride Festival honors the LGBTQA community by fostering pride in each person as valuable, creative members of a diverse population in the South Puget Sound region. This family friendly event begins with flag raising at Pantages Theatre, Friday July 7th and lasts through Saturday, July 15th, 2017. The Tacoma Pride event will be held downtown Tacoma on Pacific Avenue near Fireman’s Park July 8th, 12-5pm.

Since opening in 2014 Destiny City Comics has been providing an excellent selection of comics celebrating all kinds of heroes and characters from traditional supers to rare editions created by local artists and writers, like Mama Tits Saves the World, by the Northwest Press.

At this 3rd annual event they’ll be featuring artists, publishers and cosplay enthusiasts. The visitors can also participate in a special raffle with Prizes include items donated by Espionage Cosmetics and the RedHot Tacoma.

Like the workshop of Edna Mode, the Productivity Parlour for Artful Living helps your inner hero shine with expert advice on costuming your passion. Work on projects in a group environment or one-on-one sessions with experienced seamstresses or take one of their many classes.

Mama Tits Signing at Tacoma Pride Block Party

Join the official block party following Tacoma Pride and join Destiny City Comics again to meet the star of the comics Mama Tits Saves the World, Mama Tits herself. Read the adventures of Seattle’s most notorious drag queen facing down prejudicial Pride parade protesters and the pestiferous Polyestra.

She’ll be signing during the Tacoma Pride Block Party at The Mix at 9pm. Ticket to the event is required, see their website for tickets and details. Comic is available for $5 at Destiny City Comics or at the block party.
