Create your own pop-up park in downtown Tacoma!

Downtown: On the Go! is calling all businesses, organizations, and persons interested in lively public space! Friday, September 15 is Park(ing) Day, a global day in which parking spots temporarily become public parks.
Want a piece of the action? Create your own park(ing) space downtown on Pacific Avenue between 7th and 17th street to be a part of the larger event! Participants are asked to “park” between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. There will be food trucks, a walk event, a passport to encourage people to visit the parks, a traffic garden in Tollefson Plaza and a “People’s Choice Award” for their favorite park.
If you would like to host your own park(ing) space, please let us know by August 24 so we can get a permit for your space and include it in event promotion and activities. Register online at www.downtownonthego.com/parking-day/2017-registration.
