Over the past eight years, Spaceworks Tacoma has developed into a pillar of the Tacoma arts and maker communities, while invigorating the entrepreneurial ecosystem. We are seeking the next Spaceworks Program Director to grow the program and the entrepreneurial community.
The ideal candidate must be passionate about the role art and entrepreneurship play in making Tacoma an incredible city to live, work and create. The Spaceworks Program Director must have strong connections in the local and regional arts, culture, maker, and entrepreneur communities.
What began as an effort to provide infill and interest to Tacoma’s streetscapes has evolved into a decentralized business incubator and anchor for the creative class in downtown and beyond. Since launching, Spaceworks has worked with more than 400 artists and creative entrepreneurs in more than 50 sites around Tacoma.
