On Wednesday, April 2 Downtown On the Go and the American Heart Association are coming together to host a walking event in celebration of National Walking Day. This event will kick-off Downtown On the Go’s 2014 Walk Tacoma series sponsored by Franciscan Health System.

The Stadium Walk, sponsored by the Stadium Business District, will start on the south end of Wright Park by the lion sculptures at noon, and continue for 1.5 miles through Wright Park and the Stadium District. Along the route, participants will learn about the history of Wright Park, Stadium High School, and the many churches in the area.

Check-in for the walk will begin at 11:30am, with snacks, healthy lifestyle and commute information, and swag bags for the first 200 participants. There is no pre-registration necessary, just check-in at the Downtown On the Go tent before the noon walk.
