The War Experience Project Open House is April 15-17

Painting by Rick Lawson

One of the most searing exhibitions of art about war to hit Tacoma is the War Experience Project at 906 Broadway. During his current Spaceworks residency, Iraq veteran and WEP curator Rick Lawson has conducted private art workshops inviting military veterans to share their experiences by painting them onto uniforms. The result is a collection of somber, confessional, often devastating art pieces by both men and women, that speaks reams about the psychological and spiritual price exacted by war.

This groundbreaking exhibition will be open to the public during the War Experience Project open house, April 15-17, 3-8pm. Please join us for this important event at 906 Broadway in Tacoma.
